We are committed to keeping your personal data secure and strive to maintain the highest security standards. To this end, we have adopted state-of-the-art technology and implemented robust technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. For particularly sensitive personal data transmitted over the internet, we specifically use encrypted transmission paths.

Unfortunately, the transmission of data via the internet is not completely secure. Therefore, while we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to our Website. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal data, we will employ strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access. This includes but is not limited to the following measures:

We have a dedicated team of information security professionals and have established an information security system.
We have taken security protection measures in data collection, storage, display, processing, use, deletion, destruction, etc., and use access control and encryption technology.
For employees who may have access to your information, we have signed confidentiality agreements with them and established approval mechanisms for information access, internal and external transmission, and decryption. We also regularly conduct training related to personal data protection to strengthen employees' privacy protection awareness.
For third parties who provide us with data processing services (i.e., external companies), we have required them to comply with our data privacy regulations.
If you believe you have discovered a potential security vulnerability, please inform us by sending an email to support@shortsmonkey.com.

7. Do Not Track Signals

"Do Not Track" (DNT) is a privacy preference that users can set in some web browsers. We do not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals, as the internet industry is currently still working to clearly define what DNT means, what it means to comply with DNT, and a common approach to responding to DNT.

Your personal information will be stored on secure servers in the United States via our database providers (Neon/Supabase).

8.2. Data Retention

9. Your Rights

Under applicable law, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. These rights include:

Access Your Personal Data

You have the right to request that we confirm whether we are processing your personal data and, if so, you have the right to access that personal data and receive information about how your data is processed, as well as to request that we provide you with a copy of your personal data.

Rectify Your Personal Data

This enables you to correct any incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate data we hold about you.

Erase Your Personal Data

This enables you to request that we delete your personal data, for example, when the data we hold about you is no longer necessary or your data has been unlawfully processed.

Object to Processing

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and to ask us to stop processing, for example, when the data is being used for direct marketing purposes, or when we rely on legitimate interests (or those of a third party). In some circumstances, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.

Restrict Processing

This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data's accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.

Receive Your Personal Data in a Usable Electronic Format and Transmit it to a Third Party (Data Portability)

If we process your personal data based on your consent or a contract, you may request to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and transmit that data without hindrance to another controller.

Withdraw Consent

When we rely on consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you that require that personal data. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

Not Be Subject to Decisions Based Solely on Automated Processing

You have the right to request not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

Complain to Your Local Data Protection Authority

You have the right at any time to submit your request and complaint to your local regulator, particularly in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement of the GDPR. However, we hope to have the opportunity to deal with your concerns before you approach the data protection authority, so please contact us first.

Limitations: These rights may be limited in some circumstances – for example, when we can demonstrate that we have a legal requirement to process your data (e.g., a tax authority requires us to keep it) or as is necessary for the normal performance of a contract. In some cases, this may mean that we can retain data even if you withdraw your consent. If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us via the details in the "How to Contact Us" section below. You can also update your personal information in your profile in the website settings.
